It's not uncommon for a guy of even average size (give or take) to bump into a chick's cervix (which is probably what you hit). It just depends on the "length" of the girl inside, the position, etc. Some girls don't experience pain when you hit their cervix so they can take 9"...or more. If these girls didn't exist we'd have no porn.
