well that and to keep bacteria out of there....they're supposed to be hygenic. but with all the non-natural fibers that they used to make panties anymore, it doesn't really matter. Basically if you wear something other than cotton panties for more than 8 hrs,....well we'll just say it's not healthy for ya.
