My honest opinion: a, I am going to agree with GT40fied. Pseudo-intellect and well basically everything else you said. Well put.
Also adding to that, I am gonna say, "I am glad I don't live in the dorms anymore!" It sounds to me like you both need some sleep, a decent meal, and a chance to be alone to sort out your thoughts. Neither of which you will get in the dorms...ever.
