actually if you read any rebuild manual, including chiltons and haynes you will see that they tell you to floor the car 4-5 times after the engine gets to it's normal operating temperature. in it's mayden run, then they say to drive it normal, not pampering or drive it like you stole it, but since the most cars come with a few miles on them i am sure the manufaturer took care of that part. i need like 2 miles to get the engine at normal temp.
