Like I said, that's an aweful lot to to risk for some attention. Attempted suicide would be much less costly, and net you more attention.
But I generally make this horribly stupid assumption that most people are rational. Very, very few people are rational. Maybe you guys are right, maybe not. The long and short of it is we don't know anything, and in the long run I didn't know Mt. Biker enough to put an exceptional amount of time or resources into figuring it out.
