RR: If you're going to ride, ya gotta start somewhere. I want a bike but I'm split between getting a nice cruising bike like a Harley or a crotch rocket....but I guess for a nice spring or fall day to go cruising and enjoy the weather I'd probably be better off with a Miata or S2000 or something.

I dont mean you shouldnt get a bike if you dont know how to ride.. I mean you shouldnt get a SS class bike. Get something small, easy to handle, and cheap to start of with.. Ride it for a couple years, polish your skills get good at riding.. Then move upto SS bike class. Bikes are dangerous, all bikes will get you killed. Its just some do it a lot faster then others. 90% (or more) of the people that own SS bikes ride fast, and most corner hard. That is not something a unexperienced rider needs.
