I don't know... I'm not gunna start a fight over it .... because I think they may have changed the ratings of the h4 bulb...
A friend of mine put h4's in his car and it started a fire... there was too much draw created by them for his stock wires... it melted them and they burned...
As I look around now they seem to be merged... some companies sell a h4/9003 bulb but some still sell 9003 seperately (and more expensive) than there h4's.
I KNOW painless used to make a kit to re-wire them to use h4's on your stock headlights.
I could be wrong but I don't know... they used to be different I'm sure....
