And I'm not gunna call bs on the stock you vs. stock tsi but... My buddy had a TOTALLY stock tsi that consistantly ROASTED everything he went up against including lightly modded 5.0's. I've ridden in it and others (others were not as nice as his) and if it weren't for the fact that I took a ride in my buddies RX-7 the other day I would say it's the best handling car I've EVER been in. Including porsche's, nsx's, etc etc...

with the exception of another friends built to shit mustang (351 W built for nitros & turbo) it was also the fastest.

However I will concede that they ARE a problem ridden car... but that's just because they're turbo and people don't know how to care for or drive turbo cars. they just tool on them and shut them off leading to turbo problems.. and they have CRAPPY heads. I knew one kid who went through 3 new heads (all new valves springs etc..). And the second owner had it for a month before after starting it and attempting to leave his driveway he heard a clunk and there it has sat since.

you can easily pick up a talon for 900-2000 even with a realatively small budget of 10k that leaves you with TONS of options and the ability to end up with a MUCH faster car than any of the other options (imo). You spend 7-9k on bushur parts for that car and IT WILL FLY.

That or get a good ol' 5.0 they've got potential like noone's bizniz. and the insurance isn't a KILLER.

just so you know, i have a 4th gen prelude with a h22 in it.

a reliable rx7... do you know what causes them to be unreliable? the FD's had cooling problems and the apex seals get weak fast if you beat on the engine. that is why i said that you need to replace them to make it more reliable. the DSMs are nice cars, but a vast majority of people modding them do not build the engine, and with bolt ons and bumped boost, they run into problems fast, and the drive train(awd one) does not like alot of power stock. a built DSM is deadly though, cause it is basicaly an american evo5-6 (same engine, same drive train, same basic weight)
