It isn't. What the deal is now, is that it's considered "Cosmetic" and "not medically necessary", so people's insurance isn't covering it anymore.
It costs $500 to have a baby boy snipped now.
I know this b/c my bestest friend in the whole world had a boy not too long ago, & she had to pay. But they did b/c they didn't want him to be different than the majority.
