Like Racing Rice said, stick with a fatter sway bar. A bigger sway bar with firm bushings will outdo a tie bar anyday provided you don't go too big. A sway bar's job is to prevent body roll by way of suspension geometry but one that's too big will prevent proper suspension travel. Good luck.
