This has nothing to do with hondas, but hey, what the heck.....
Whats the best cat back exhaust for VW GTI VR6's
and thats the best headers for the same car? |
uhhhh..a motec system exhaust:rolleyes:
|

Why do you ask? |
cause when i'm 18, i'm getting one (my daddy is buying one for me :) )
|
Quote:
Get a 1.8t. You'll have more fun with it. T-T-T-TURBO! |
well, i can turbo to vr6 and it'll woop and 1.8t.
and plus a vr6 is a bigger engine, and when i turbo it, it'll beat anything! it'll be so awesome! and i tune it right. |
whats wrong with ur car now?

My car now isn't fast enough! :( And even iof i decied to take it further and get the max HP outta it, i'd mx out at 300....about. And i want a 6 cyl anywho :) ya know, it's faster. Tuned right, it could easily beat pretty much any civic...and plus, i wanna go all the way with the GTI, Turbo, maybe twin, everything from A-Z (if ya know waht i mean) |
cool. i dont see/hear about many turbo'ed vr6's. how much hp/tq stock?
|
GTI VR6 can go to 0-60 in 7.7 seconds stock
174 HP, 2.8 liter, VR6 engine, with 181 lb-ft @ 3200 RPM I WANT IT NOW! OMG!!! |
Quote:
The 0-60 is not that impressive. Especially since my car does 7.9 stock and its only a 4 cylinder. I'm telling you. Get the 1.8t..... |
Dude! a twin turbo'ed VR6? or a instantly gradifying 1.8t from the factory?
i'd rather wait and twin the VR6. |
Quote:
hehe... I'll race ya ;) |
Yeah I don't see a twin turbo happening. Have you ever seen the engine bay of a VR6? There's not a whole lot of room.
|
We are now OT.
|
just get a supra or something...instead of wasting your dads money on a cheap 6 cil...
|
2jz-gte is the V6 of the gods.
|
VWs are very expensive to fix and get parts for. My old GTi cost a fortune to fix up.
|
so, when i get a new car (in 2005) i should get a supra ya think?
i mena, if i twin or evenn just put on turbo on a supra, it could woop anything huh? they're fast, right? i know nothing about toyotas. hehe and i'm sure the after market companyts would make parts for the supra first in 1005 beofer they'd make um for the 1005 GTI, ya know... ok, thnx for the info |
i went to toyota.com
and they didn't have the supra on their site...? |
Quote:
its not in production anymore |
Damn it!
well, if you could buy a new car, what would you buy? (not just Mt.bike, anyone who wants to answer) |
the Supra TT already has 2 turbos, comes stock that way.
1993.5 - 1998 800+hp on a stock internal motor easily. no you cant beat everything, especially going from driving a civic to a supra - it'll take some learning. |
I would buy a 330i in stick and turbo that puppy. Its classy, not alot of people drive em, and hey i know for a fact you can take them above 150mph stock, well you have to remove the chip
|
or I would buy a rsx-s and turbo that puppy they 6.1 0-60mph stock
|
yea, but thats another german car....wouldn't it be hard ot find performence parts for it and stuff?
and i've seen a vidoe of a twin tubo GTI vr6....its hella fast, lol |
VW rubs me the wrong way, I would much rather own a BMW then a VW. They say once you go BMW you never go back. A friend of mine drives a 325i bored out to a 3.0l engine and it does 0-60 in 5.9s He says its putting out around 230hp, and think how light that car is.. hmm yes!
|
hmm, i'm lookn at the RSX type s right now....*drool*
with a turbo, and the right tuning (intake, exhaust(headers, cat., muffler), pullys, fuel reg., some other bolt-ons) i think i'd have a damn fast car! am i right? |
Quote:
well its very fast now so i'd say your correct thus far |
hmm, what are some other cars that'd be good ot fix up (new)
...as an alternative to my GTI. |
350zx;)
|
man! the RSX type S is a lead weight! dang!
2.7k pounds? |
Quote:
Do you even have the slightest ****ing clue what you're talking about? A turbo with a header and intake? Okay. . . . The intake part is semi-legit (although you probably don't know why), and all turbo guys know why the header part isn't. And you consider tuning an intake, full exhaust, and other bolt-on parts? You need to do some research and get a clue. |
http://www.revhard.com/rsx.html
yes, do some research plz. learn more about turbos before you just jump into something like that. |
lol, i caught that too...
|
heh just get a Type R integra...or a TT 300ZX....
|
Quote:
i tip the scale at 2961lbs  slowej6... 2jz-gte is a inline 6, and its a toss up between that and the rb26dett for the "god" of 6's honestly, i'd look into the new WRX's or evo8's |
OPAK,
Are you able to get any car you want? If so, get a Lamborghini Diablo VT. Hell with everything else. You really better read up on what you are going to do to your car. It'll make you look stupid when you talk to other people if you can't explain the details. Just a warning. Quote:
3087 lbs isn't that light.... Not to mention my stock Si could take out 325's all day. Now if its bored to 3.0L, I'll probably have a bit of trouble keeping up.:bandit: |
Quote:
That's not that heavy. Also, all the weights you see are curb weight. No gas, no driver. |
