Get a 1.8t. You'll have more fun with it. T-T-T-TURBO!

OPAKRACING 10-14-2002 09:30 PM

well, i can turbo to vr6 and it'll woop and 1.8t.

and plus a vr6 is a bigger engine, and when i turbo it, it'll beat anything! it'll be so awesome! and i tune it right.

ShEaNy 10-15-2002 01:52 PM

My car now isn't fast enough! :(

And even iof i decied to take it further and get the max HP outta it, i'd mx out at 300....about.

And i want a 6 cyl anywho :)

ya know, it's faster. Tuned right, it could easily beat pretty much any civic...and plus, i wanna go all the way with the GTI, Turbo, maybe twin, everything from A-Z (if ya know waht i mean)

monkut 10-15-2002 11:09 PM

cool. i dont see/hear about many turbo'ed vr6's. how much hp/tq stock?

OPAKRACING 10-16-2002 11:37 PM

GTI VR6 can go to 0-60 in 7.7 seconds stock

174 HP, 2.8 liter, VR6 engine, with 181 lb-ft @ 3200 RPM

I WANT IT NOW! OMG!!!

The 0-60 is not that impressive. Especially since my car does 7.9 stock and its only a 4 cylinder.

I'm telling you. Get the 1.8t.....

OPAKRACING 10-17-2002 06:22 PM

Dude! a twin turbo'ed VR6? or a instantly gradifying 1.8t from the factory?

i'd rather wait and twin the VR6.

hehe... I'll race ya ;)

Addict 10-25-2002 07:18 AM

Yeah I don't see a twin turbo happening. Have you ever seen the engine bay of a VR6? There's not a whole lot of room.

2ndGenTeg 10-25-2002 09:04 PM

We are now OT.

Kyle 10-25-2002 09:36 PM

just get a supra or something...instead of wasting your dads money on a cheap 6 cil...

slowEJ6 10-25-2002 10:50 PM

2jz-gte is the V6 of the gods.

94_AcCoRd_EX 10-25-2002 11:35 PM

VWs are very expensive to fix and get parts for. My old GTi cost a fortune to fix up.

OPAKRACING 10-26-2002 03:46 PM

so, when i get a new car (in 2005) i should get a supra ya think?

i mena, if i twin or evenn just put on turbo on a supra, it could woop anything huh? they're fast, right? i know nothing about toyotas. hehe

and i'm sure the after market companyts would make parts for the supra first in 1005 beofer they'd make um for the 1005 GTI, ya know...
ok, thnx for the info

OPAKRACING 10-26-2002 03:48 PM

i went to toyota.com

and they didn't have the supra on their site...?

its not in production anymore

OPAKRACING 10-26-2002 04:29 PM

Damn it!

well, if you could buy a new car, what would you buy? (not just Mt.bike, anyone who wants to answer)

slowEJ6 10-26-2002 04:31 PM

the Supra TT already has 2 turbos, comes stock that way.
1993.5 - 1998
800+hp on a stock internal motor easily.

no you cant beat everything, especially going from driving a civic to a supra - it'll take some learning.

mt.biker 10-26-2002 04:35 PM

I would buy a 330i in stick and turbo that puppy. Its classy, not alot of people drive em, and hey i know for a fact you can take them above 150mph stock, well you have to remove the chip

mt.biker 10-26-2002 04:37 PM

or I would buy a rsx-s and turbo that puppy they 6.1 0-60mph stock

OPAKRACING 10-26-2002 04:37 PM

yea, but thats another german car....wouldn't it be hard ot find performence parts for it and stuff?

and i've seen a vidoe of a twin tubo GTI vr6....its hella fast, lol

mt.biker 10-26-2002 04:40 PM

VW rubs me the wrong way, I would much rather own a BMW then a VW. They say once you go BMW you never go back. A friend of mine drives a 325i bored out to a 3.0l engine and it does 0-60 in 5.9s He says its putting out around 230hp, and think how light that car is.. hmm yes!

OPAKRACING 10-26-2002 04:43 PM

hmm, i'm lookn at the RSX type s right now....*drool*

with a turbo, and the right tuning (intake, exhaust(headers, cat., muffler), pullys, fuel reg., some other bolt-ons) i think i'd have a damn fast car! am i right?

well its very fast now so i'd say your correct thus far

OPAKRACING 10-26-2002 04:50 PM

hmm, what are some other cars that'd be good ot fix up (new)

...as an alternative to my GTI.

Kyle 10-26-2002 04:52 PM

350zx;)

OPAKRACING 10-26-2002 05:00 PM

man! the RSX type S is a lead weight! dang!

Do you even have the slightest ****ing clue what you're talking about? A turbo with a header and intake? Okay. . . . The intake part is semi-legit (although you probably don't know why), and all turbo guys know why the header part isn't.

And you consider tuning an intake, full exhaust, and other bolt-on parts? You need to do some research and get a clue.

slowEJ6 10-26-2002 06:26 PM

http://www.revhard.com/rsx.html

yes, do some research plz. learn more about turbos before you just jump into something like that.

Kyle 10-26-2002 06:27 PM

lol, i caught that too...

ShEaNy 10-26-2002 07:24 PM

heh just get a Type R integra...or a TT 300ZX....

i tip the scale at 2961lbs

slowej6... 2jz-gte is a inline 6, and its a toss up between that and the rb26dett for the "god" of 6's

honestly, i'd look into the new WRX's or evo8's

Addict 10-27-2002 12:44 AM

OPAK,
Are you able to get any car you want? If so, get a Lamborghini Diablo VT. Hell with everything else.
You really better read up on what you are going to do to your car. It'll make you look stupid when you talk to other people if you can't explain the details. Just a warning.

3087 lbs isn't that light....
Not to mention my stock Si could take out 325's all day. Now if its bored to 3.0L, I'll probably have a bit of trouble keeping up.:bandit:

That's not that heavy. Also, all the weights you see are curb weight. No gas, no driver.
