stacked head gaskets?
anyone have any experience with this? remove the rivets from like 2 oem head gaskets, line them up on top of each other, rivet them back, and put the on the car to lower compression...will it work?
|
just a thought here, but why would you want to lower the compression?
my personal thoughts are higher compression = better... the only key to higher compression is better tuning is needed... lower compression = more forgiving... but less power. Thats just my thoughts on it though.. and im sure someone is going to blow me out of the water on this or somethin.. but hey.. like I said.. my thoughts. NewL |
high compression = good for all motor purposes
low compression = good for boost purposes thicker/stacked headgaskets = lower compression am I not right? btw, Im going turbo |

im not sure if it will or wont work, but you can get thicker stronger than stock gaskets, and under boost, i might be worried about leaking..
|
yup it will work but you need to tighten the head to more that the torque specifications specified in the repair manuals.

i think greddy makes like a 2mm one, thats pretty big right there, and i think Mr. Gasket does custom ones
