Accord question
Hey i'm new here and i was wondering, Is there a good Engine swap for a Honda accord 1999 sedan Ex, right now it has a 4cyl Vtec.

Moving to Accord forum.
The H22A is your only engine choice. Comes from the DOHC Prelude. It is also an I4, but it puts out close to 200hp. |

btw, how much would you think the swap would cost?? |
is there anything that will put out 200+?
|
not something to fit as easy as the h22. it's just a drop in.

Well, legally you need to swap an engine in that's newer than your current engine. If you don't care about that, you could find one much cheaper. The 94ish H22As are going for around $2300-2400 + shipping ($200 or so) + around $750-1000 for install. I'd say all said and done you're looking at around $4k. |
would the H22 swap perform better than having the ex v6? also is it possible to supercharge the ex v6 coupe? i've been looking all over the net but i cant find it anywhere.

An H22 Accord would beat a V6 accord stock to stock. Comptech has now made an SC for the 6th gen Accord V6 AFAIK. |
yep yep all about h22a....if only i had some money....oh by the way how much is it for engine swap? like installation fee?;)

For the H22, I've heard from $600-$1000 |

$4k, huh?...mmmmm....think I'll have to wait a while for that...plus I only have 40k on my engine right now...oh well, I still need to dyno mine anyway to see where I'm at... |
