I wanna move to canada when i get outta HS...go to college there or somethin...not really sure why, but i'm just so sick of living in freakin Texas...100 degree summers and no snow whatsoever...
I just wanted to know...How much do apartments run up there?...

Kyle 08-27-2002 06:28 PM

I also wanna be able to drink legally at 18...

mylittlecivic 08-27-2002 06:29 PM

why canada? so you can becoeme an alcoholic at an early age? jfwy! canda seems like a really cool place  but i dont think u can become a citizen unless you marry someone there:confused:

Kyle 08-27-2002 06:34 PM

you don't really have to be a citizen to live there though right?...
I really just need to get the hell away from my family for a few years...I just wanna work and get an apartment or somethin, and chill...

I've seen most of North America, and Montreal is one of the nicer cities to live in..

When its vacation time, Cali is the place to be!

Zybach 08-27-2002 09:43 PM

Hmm I live in Georgia, but I've also lived in Canada and I'd take 100 degree weather over -20 degree weather anyday.

ebpda9 08-27-2002 09:45 PM

i live in cleveland and i know it's not too much of a wether difference but i want to move upnorth. for some reason i don't like the heat. i prefer -20 rather than 85-90

94_AcCoRd_EX 08-27-2002 09:51 PM

ebpda9 08-27-2002 09:53 PM

And now it changed :paranoid:

Anyway, back to topic. I'd really like to travel around Canada sometime. I've been to BC but that's it. I've seen some really nice pictures from Montreal, etc.

Kyle 08-27-2002 10:50 PM

so...do you have to have citizenship to live there?...

ebpda9 08-27-2002 10:54 PM

as being an US citizen/permanent resident you don't have to worry about many things, unless you want to go to Iraq or Pakistan ;)

Kyle 08-27-2002 10:55 PM

i've been to iraq...don't like it much there...lol

Drunkalien 08-28-2002 12:17 AM

Grip72 08-28-2002 03:31 AM

The place in Canada where the legal drinking age is 18 is the good ol' province of Alberta. I live in BC but Luckily, i live only 2 hours away from a nice town in Alberta so i just take some friends and we go there and get pissed.

it depends dude. in cleveland you can get on in da hood for 150, but a decent one starts at 400 for 1 bedroom and 500 for 2 bedrooms. the prices are going up to 1500 in some places

mt.biker 08-28-2002 07:52 AM

The two places drinking is at 18 are alberta and quebec. I wouldn't move to eihter though. Alberta is farming and quebec is a bunch of french people, so better know french or your shit out of luck.

well dude it will be harder then you think to become a canada as i've found out its really hard to become an american. Basically you have to marry a canada. Otherwise you dont qualify because youlife in a great country already. Best of luck thouhg dude.

Right now i'd do as i'm doing, looking for a chick who lives in teh country i want to move to:cool: well if it works out that is..

you're right about the drinking age..

I live in Quebec (prov), go to a french university, and still in an average day, I wont need to speak a word of french. Especially if you live in Montreal.. Where its bilingual -- mostly english.

ShEaNy 09-02-2002 02:09 PM

umm u can drink in manitoba when ur 18..... and the apartments here run about 260..in winnipeg.. (single bedroom, kinda small but livable) or u can get a nicer one for double the price..

KwikR6 09-03-2002 02:36 PM

Don't move here...we don't want any more americans..hahahaha....Just joking...

juvenile 09-03-2002 07:51 PM

Well, he can get an education visa for like 3-5 years which permits him to goto college/university and live here.
He'll get all the benefits of a canadian citizen for that time I believe!
