lowering problems ?
well since yesterday i'm at lowering my car and today i got to install the new shocks and springs but for some weird reason the arms seem to be lower than the original springs and struts., is that normal ?
Im not 100% sure what your talking about...
Since you are changing the degree of the arm the side closest to the motor should be closer to the ground.. I think thats what your talking about anyway.;) |
nope. i have the 4 arms all having different heights from the ground, but my car is still on jackstands.
one more thing: the rear springs could be fit onlu upside down compared to the original springs. evein the eibach sign is upside down. if i try to put the spring right (like the original) it won't fit in the lower and upper spring seats. if it's the way i have it now it fits perfectly into the seats. |
If it works then go with it..
i lowered my car and the drop is about 1.8". the front end has some big and weird camber. the rear looks fine except that i had to change one bushing and changed the toe of the wheel.
1.8?!
that seems a little over.. but cool.. |
the car looks pretty nice with that drop and the camber is not a problem for the rear, but the fron i will see when i get the toe under specs
I hate it when my toe is off.. Makes me walk funny.. :D ;)
yep i just took the car for an alignament like 10 minutes ago. i know i was supposed to leave it more than one night to settle but in a 15mph turn the tires would screetch like i was doing the turn with over 200mph.
it's been 3 days and it seems that the driver's side is raising up a bit on me. i measured the wheel gap and the car looks like it's 1cm (.4") more on the rear left than rear right. front looks ok for now
