Adjusting ignition timing

Ok I'm supposed to remove the passenger side kick panel to get to some wires to jump but what and where is the kick panel and how do I remove it? I also need to know what the Vehicle Emissions Control Information(VECI) label says seeing how my hood has been replaced and thats where it is. Any other useful info on doing this would be greatly appreciated.

i'm not sure what you're trying to do. but if you're looking for the ECU, all you have to do is sit on the passenger side then stretch your legs out. beside your right foot is where the ECU is. it is covered by a plastic piece. you can not miss it. you'll see all kinds of wire running to it.

Thanks i got it all figured out now, has anyone else advanced their timing? and if so did you see a difference?

the only time i would play with the timing is if force induction is involve or highly modified internal......

Thats cool, I advanced my timing 2 degrees and actually picked up some free hp, I'd recommend anyone who's N/A to advance it. Of course thats with the OBD1 computers. I don't know how or if you guys with the OBD2 can mess with the timing.

care to share how you actually go about advancing your timing?
