I noticed on the inside of the rims I bought, there was this metal strip with measurement #'s on it. What is it and can I take it off? See picture. LoL. I know...sorry about all the pics, it just conveys what I am trying to say better.

NO DO NOT TAKE THAT OFF!!!!! that is your wheel weights that keep your wheels balanced...so when the balance your wheels...if theres a light spot they add a weight strip to even the centrifical rotation so u get a smooth ride:yes:

Uhhh, My bad. I took one stip off of one rim to see what it was. Really bad?

ebpda9 06-18-2002 12:41 AM

yueah go and have the wheel balanced again

HondaTypeJ 06-18-2002 12:43 AM

Ah dammit. How much is that going to cost me?

HondaTypeJ 06-18-2002 12:44 AM

And where can I take it to have it done?

ebpda9 06-18-2002 12:45 AM

it's gonna be like 15, because it's not steel rim and every tire store/shop should be able to do it in less than 15 minutes.

HondaTypeJ 06-18-2002 12:49 AM

Ohh ok, Thanks. Will they go ahead and take off the other strip that is on the rim and re add them according to thier balancing? Or leave the ones that are already on there and add the necessary ones?

ebpda9 06-18-2002 12:54 AM

it depends on their machines

94_AcCoRd_EX 06-18-2002 01:16 AM

Just leave the remaining strips alone and go to a tire shop to get them balanced ASAP.

KwikR6 06-18-2002 03:11 AM
