IE6 issue..
Do any of you know how to disable the automatic word recognition crap?? Not where you type in a url, but rather in any text field on a page.
example : where you enter your username for this board. the next time I come to enter it, after typing the first letter, it gives the a list of words that begin with that same letter that I've previously entered in that same box. How do i stop it?? thanks! JP |
I haven't really explored this issue fully, but I just searched thru the advanced options in my version of old IE5, and I think what you are describing is called inline AutoComplete. For ie5 go to Tools-->Internet Options-->then the advanced tab and look for something like autocomplete whatever. I'd say turn them all off. It'll probly work for ie6 also, just might have to dig for it.
