Shogun Gen 2 Coilovers for my Civic...
 

What are Shogun Gen 2 Coilovers? Is there a difference between these and lowering springs (do I have that right...)? I am thinking about them.

never heard of that brand but they are probably sleeved coilovers - like Ground Control, Skunk2, etc...

they are a 4" drop spring with a perch that can be raised or lowered for the drop you want. usually from 0"-4".

Are they hard to install?

same as springs......takes a couple hours as long as you have patience and the proper tools. only annoying thing is getting the ride height exactly how you want it corner by corner.
