Civic Type-R UK
1 Attachment(s)
Pic of my new Civic Type-R UK. Just picked it up and it totally blows any car I have driven before away. 0-62 in 6.7 secs un-modded. I have a Celica Gt, and it feels like a tank now!

http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4291854173 Hope the link works, it took years to upload the pics... Kept failing! I'll put more pics on later...Plus pics of my other baby, my 97 Celica |
As for the car, its built in the UK, and is the hottest Civic they do, they claim to only build 1000 per year for UK but demand has been so high they are upping production. I ordered mine in October and had to wait till last month for delivery, as they moved the delivery date 4 times (should have been Jan) Worth the wait though! :) Specs for UK Type-R are: 2.0L iVTEC 198bhp, 0-62 6.7 secs, 6-speed box, 17" alloys as standard.
I added aircon (which is a £1100 option!;() Minidisc & CD, Extra speakers, and Front Fogs. I feel for you guys in the US, as it is REALLY worth making a fuss for. Get Honda US to import this baby, nothing can touch it this side of an Impreza WRX!!! |
How much did that thing cost u? (U.S.) and a celica? wow Rich BOy! hehe :D :o
|
The car costs £16,000 (about $24,000) with NO extras, no aircon, crappy stereo, not even any mats.
Mine cost £18,400 fully loaded, with aircon, CD, Minidisc, uprated speakers, Fog lights, Door sills, Embroidered Mats, Metallic Paint. About $27,600. Still fantastic value. The Toyota sounds too good to get rid of, and when I sold my MR2 I regretted it for ages. The Celica has twin 3.5" full stainless Mongoose Sports system, coupled to a custom made Blitz induction kit, with a massive Stainless air filter, you can tell its coming! I couldn't bear to part with the Celica, so I gave it to my lady, she is an art teacher at a high school, and the kids love the car! Not many teachers drive a phat modded 200bhp black celica GT:D |
what made your deside to spend the money on a civic and not get a used r33 gtr skyline?
|
To be honest, I get a car allowance from my company. I am free to buy what I want up to a set value (£19,000) but it has to be new and non-import. They service and insure it. Otherwise I would have considered one, perhaps except for the insurance. Insurance in the UK is V.pricey. My Celica would be £1400/year because its modded if I didn't have 6 years / 50 no-claims.

ahhh ic. its a sweet ride definitaly, but if it was my cash, and i was in the UK, im a skyline fan ;) but for a company car SWEET choice
