Drop Questions

well guys let me ask you this: i wanna drop my car and i decided on the AGX/ProKit combo. i know that the Pro Kits will drop only 1.2" and after final settling somwhere like 1.8". How long do i have to wait for it to be finally settled before going for the alignament ? Also when doing this i have the energy suspension polyurethane bushing kit that will replace the upper rubber mount for the spring. do i still look at a 1.8 drop or it will be less ?

Pro-Kit will only have very minor settling if any. I am not sure where you heard they would settle .6" but that is incorrect. They drop 1.3" and if they settle to 1.5" I would be surprised as they are a very high quality spring. Anyway, you should wait about a week before getting an alignment done.

Hey hondaman - I just the AGX+Prokit as well, but haven't installed them yet. Are you going to do the install yourself, or take it somewhere?

i'm gonna do it myself. i know the car pretty well

Good man, doing the work yourself is a good thing!:D

all the work is done by myself. maybe except cut and weld some rust spots

what did u think i was one of the keybord freaks ? i rebuilt 3 engines with my dad so far (not on my honda)

No not at all. I just think it is good for people to work on the car themselves so they can learn and gain experience from it. I love working on my car. I just completed my self-installed turbo setup and it runs nice. I just need to lean it a bit. I am running too rich.

I agree.. A quality spring such as Eibach shouldnt settle that much. Your talking about some sag starting if thats the case.. Shouldnt happen..

well forgive me for my poor english but for me sag and settle are confusing. same things goes with chamber and camber (even if i know what they mean i'll put them the other way around) :paranoid:
