I am going to be getting the rims from sears (belive it or not). 5 17" wheels w/ 215/45/17 Yok a550v for get this 1520.00 All of this includes mounting, balancing, road hazard agrement, tires, wheels, tuner wheel lock kit, and all of the caps.

They should go well..

I have the whites on my Accord.

i don't know if it's true, but have heard that motegi isn't the greatest quality, but i donno, they are made by american racing i believe

motegi racing sells them for 140 for the accords. that will be under 600 for a set of rims, plus another 400 for tires and that's 1000. make sure you don't overpay.

www.motegiracing.com

btw sears is a bit overpriced. i remeber when my dad needed 2 tires they will charge him $75 for a tire itself that at anothewr local shop (SUNOCO) were 57 tire+ install+ balance+tax

hondav6 03-23-2002 02:42 PM

These rims are made by american racing, the thing with sears, the yok 215-45-17 is running me 124 a piece, and the motegi's are running me 125 a piece. I thought that this was a pretty good deal.

Yeah, i want to have the extra just incase i spring a leak and need to put on the donut. I don't know if it is a good idea or not to get five, but i think that i am going to anyways. Do you think it is a bad idea?

Maxvla 03-23-2002 09:52 PM

full size spare isnt going to fit in the spare well.
but get one if you like. would be nice to have handy at the track if you get a flat on the way/at the track before your run. seeing as thats why you go is to run. would suck to have a flat in the parking lot while waiting to run then hafta throw the donut on and call it a day.

hondav6 03-23-2002 11:24 PM

Aint that the truth.

HondaAdict 03-24-2002 10:37 AM

motegi is the compani that makes them. They are somewhere in italy and i ususally trust the german and italian quality.

Accord Man 03-24-2002 05:34 PM

Motegi is a US based company.. But very few of their rims are manufactured in the US. The batch from which my rims came from were made in the US.

The name Motegi is from the famous Japan race track.

Most of their wheels are made in Korea (same as Konig.. ). And like Konig they also share the same level of quality controle ISO 9001/9002..

baby91 03-25-2002 06:42 PM

does anyone know if the mr7's bend easily -- i was lookin at the same rims for my accord---- i can get them for $120 a rim--- but i rather pay more for a rim that wont bend easily

christine

Accord Man 03-25-2002 07:33 PM

They wont bend any easier than a Konig..

They are good.. Not soft like certain Enkei's or anything..

baby91 03-25-2002 08:05 PM

see i heard that enkei's dont bend and are good wheels -- so ive been also lookin at some of those.....

well thank u
christine

ebpda9 03-25-2002 08:19 PM

aren't the motegi's billet alluminum ? They should crack not bend

Maxvla 03-26-2002 02:55 AM

crack/bend? either aint good.

Accord Man 03-26-2002 04:47 PM

Enkei is great..

But most of their wheels wont resist much punishment..

yea those are sweet lookin rims. i like the mr-8's even.. i would choose those over the mr-7 just bc there is more detail.. but those would probably look really nice if you are still in need of buying tires.. i have alot of things to show u if u like... its wholesalers lists
