Thinking of a custom exhaust need input
 

Well i want a cat back exhaust but dont wana pay $500 for one so i went to a custom exhaust shop yesterday to check one one. well the dude told me $270-300 does that sound like the best deal? and he also told me i can chose any rear section i want and if he dont carry the one i like he said i can order one and he will put it on with no extra cost. i was thiking of a Thermal rear section 3in. (the one with the tip that is bent) how does this sound or am i doin something wrong or u guys got any good mufflers that would go good on this?

300 for a custom exhaust, not including axel back. i wouldn't do it. first off there are alot of used exhausts that are still good for that price. get a stainless steel exhaust. I'm not sure what looks/sounds good ont he integra, but i know on civic si, Dc sports, greddy evo, apexi dunk, apexi N1 is quite loud. But i recommend u get a premade stainless steel one.

270-300 including axle back of your choice sounds about right ask around first always try to find the best price also check and see the size of piping they will use is it madrel bent(flows better) Stainless steel? find out about those things before buying but 270-300 does sound right then all you have to do is find out which muffler is best for you.

ya i have checked around and there the same price. i checked 4 other places. its all stainless steel... i go down tomrrow to look at some more rear sections. how does that Thermal muffer and tip sound? i want a good one that brings in more sound and looks great.

have no clue about thermal i've heard many good things about greddy and apexi ask if any of them have somthing done you know people that work at car places like tend to mod there own cars maybe you can sample there stuff!

Oh ok i am just askin around cause i have heard soem good stuff about them and i like the way they look especally the muffler with the bent tip.. but which greddy and ApeXi mufers have u heard good stuff about??

I have the Greddy EVO and I love it....the only other exhaust I would even consider is the APEXi N1....btw usually muffler shops have crush bent exhaust tubing....which basically sucks....when it comes to the car dont cut corners because you may regret it later....just keep saving and get the best because its better in the long run....just my two pence ;)

UPDATE: i was going to schedual an app. with that place that does the custom exhasut but now i have different plans.. i was talking to a a guy who owns a honda preforamcne shop and was telliun him about it and i found out that the piping isnt meneral bent or that the muffler is only stainless and the rest is alluminized. so i said no to that.. so here is a pic of the new exhaust it wil be in on monday and it will be on.

I think I'm pretty set on getting an EVO, as soon as my tax returns come in....I can't wait!!!

Well guys i got the frist exhasut in my last post. $320... its really nice it will be in monday and will be put on that same day. i will let u guys know on how it goes and how it sounds.
