How to tell apart between a regual Prelude 97 and a Prelude Type SH...
Is there any way to tell them apart....I am looking to buy a 1997 lude and one of the ad caught my eyes, it was Type SH from a private seller. Now is there any way I can just walk up and tell the difference between a H Prelude 97 and a H Prelude 97 Type SH...?

Assuming the owner didn't change anything, and the car is stock, the SH has the "Type SH" sticker on the right side of the trunk lid. Other things: leather shift knob, courtesy door lights, no rear deck (3rd brakelight only on spoiler), "straight" 5-spoke alloy wheels. It also has ATTS, but you cannot see it unless you looked underneath the car, close to the driver side.

and the sideskirts are color matched to the car

Oh yeah...forgot about that. I put on the OEM underbody kit a week after I got my car. |
is there a SH lude in the states ? I thouth those were available in japan only. oh well

The SH was available in the US and Canada. In Japan, they had five different versions of the 5th gen. They did not have an SH, but they had the 4WS (4-wheel steering) SiR, and they had the Type S (with ATTS)...both cars had 220hp.

ohh atts or 4ws... tought choise. i didnt know the 4ws came with 220hp. wow japan is lucky.
