hmm...which car to choose...
My employees and I at Ced's Auto Tuner of Burlington, NJ are currently in the planning of a new, radical project. If you've ever been down to south jersey, or some of the little "get togethers" on the rural city streets of philly, you might have seen some of my work. We take regular (well, not regular...stock) automobiles of the top 4 import manufacturers (honda/acura, toyota, mazda, nissan) and turn them into unbelievable street machines that are very pleasing to the eye. Anyway...we want to take on a new project, and we are currently in the dilemma of choosing which canvas (car) to work on. I don't want to build up a Civic coupe or HB because, well...personally, i think there are 2 many of 'em. What do you guys think?
Mazda Protege`
Hands down. Those cars have some potential. I agree that Civics have been over done as shop projects. |
I say either an MR2 or a Miata.. They both have tons to offer as well.
Sentra Spec V
or a 1.8T VW:yes:
screw it all, Skyline R34 GT-R Vspec :yes:
They've all been done though. I haven't seen any (well I saw one with chrome wheels) Protoge`s done up....
Well except maybe the VW, but that wasn't in his list......;) |

Ahh damn.. I forgot about the list..:D :o |
go old school with a acura legen or vigor not many of those have been done up right. im personaly in love with the mazda mp3 that would be my family car if i had a family!!
not sure when they are going to be released but as soon as they do i'd suggest the RX8 from mazada (thats how i say it... lol)
Mazda 6.

sweet mazda 6... that car definately has potential.
*cough* R34 GT-R Vspec *cough*
no no no no no!!!!!!!! Insight with a K20 swap!!!! DO IT!!!
hmm...i think i'm gonna look into the legend. an insight?? isn't that the hybrid car by honda? anyway, what engine should i swap the legend block with? i was thinkin' on the lines of b16, but seein' as the engine compartment is bigger, i could probably go for somethin' bigger. fabrication isn't a big issue, but we can't do somethin' impossible (no ferrari blocks in my legend). what do u guys think?
blown 350 in the legend

damn.. this is sweet.. |
DO a MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE. Infact, do mine for free and post your name on it and ill advertise for ya. =] ill goto all shows in area and shitz. COME ON, DO MINE!!!!!!!
a b16 would be waaaay under powered for a legend. i'd personaly say a c32 (nsx engine) it would be some fabrication, but it proboly could be done. or do a twin engine preldue

h23 and tubo it to hell and back!! dont go with the b16 you wont get the tourque needed to move that suma b!tch!!!! |
<< likes 4thgenlude's idea... nsx engine.

only thing the nxs is rwd right?? isn't the legen fwd?? if so wouldn't that be alot of work?? but it is possible! |
conversion work is fun(not!!)... or at least shows ingenuity... makes your car different than all others... and thats what he's going for... so why not? plus you get all the power you want plus availability of all the nsx engine tricks of the trade
hmm...i could take the legend, put the c32 in it, and find (or make) a custom driveshaft to make the car rwd. i'd probably run into a bunch of legal shit when it comes to the driveshaft, but there's gotta be a way around it. also, the h32 sounds like a good idea. i'll look into both of 'em, but i'm leanin' towards the nsx block.
sounds like we got your grey matter churning now...
id love to watch the process and see the final results. but i have a feeling i might just get the latter of the two. >>later>> |
well, whatever i end up doin', i'm gonna record (photograph) the entire process and post it on my garage's new site that i'm workin' on. it seems like waves travel faster on the net, so, even though we're doin' pretty good, i hope to get some more business
i look forward to viewing the masterpiece.
good luck. |
