IALuder 12-11-2005 03:57 PM

bluetooth it.

Mischief 12-11-2005 04:22 PM

wtf is bluetooth?> doubt my phone has it. or my computer.

IALuder 12-11-2005 04:41 PM

bluetooth uses usb plug in for the comp. and they make bluetooth for most phones now.

Bluetooth is a wireless data transfer/connectivity technology. You need a phone that supports it and a USB receiver on the computer end (usually called a "dongle"). You could always buy a data transfer cable off of Egay (what I did even though my phone supports bluetooth). They usually come packaged with the cable and some kind of software to enable the transfer. I used it for ringtones...sounds so much better than that cheap shit you download on your phone that gets all distorted when it rings. Just go to Egay and type in the brand and model number of your phone (mine is a Motorola E815, for instance) and then add "data cable". Shouldn't cost more than $10 or $15.

yea, you could do that also. but i dispise egay.

As do I...but phone companies are reluctant to sell you their OEM cables directly because it makes it possible to do seem hacks (like I did). Seem hacks free up your phone and let it do what it's capable of rather than what the service provider wants it to do. For instance, my phone can play MP3s but Verizon fixed it so the only way you can get MP3s onto the phone is through their shitty pay service. I gave them the e-finger and hacked the phone so I can transfer from my computer. My phone also has bluetooth capabilities but for some reason it was disabled. A seem hack and *BAM*...bluetooth, bitches. Suck it Verizon. Essentially Verizon took a modern computer and turned into an Apple II E so I fucked them right back. Ain't technology great? OEM data cables for all!

That'd work I suppose...but it'd sound like total shit.
