trouble with my civic
the other day i was coming out of a parking lot and i did'nt see how steep it was and when i pulled out the front end of my car hit the road pretty rough, sounded horrible.anyways ever since then my car has been making funny noises. When ever i turn, the front end makes weird clicking noises until the wheel is straight.it doesnt do it everytime, but i noticed it happens alot when i turn from a dead stop.i dont know for sure if its becuase of me pulling out of the parking lot but it started happening soon after that.anyone know what this could be? its starting to piss me off.

Clicking usually means cv joints that are on their way out.
Jack her up and inspect the boots. Any tears - replace the whole axle. |
thanks for the advice.
its getting worse so im going to try and get it fixed asap. |
cv joints are bad to do. if its torn replace the whole thing. i like gator axles.

i dont know if its cuz its honda of canada or what but i always run into problems when workin on this car.tried to loosen the hub nut and it wont budge.tried with a breaker bar and a impact gun, nothing. wd40'd it then tried, nothing.i mean this impact gun is supposed to have like 500lbs of turning power or whatever.anyways i have to delay fixing it until my dad can borrow his work's crazy impact gun.

Silly question but...did you unstake the nut?
Everyone always complains about these nuts and the lower balljoint...I havent had any issues on mine |
yeah i unstaked it.
|
eh try some liquid wrench and a 4' pipe for extension...that'll do it for sure
|
finally fixed it,test drove it and everything seems to be fine no more noises when i turn.now i just gotta take back my old ones to get my $120 deposit.
|
Future reference...
If your having troubles getting a hub nut off....heat the fucker up red hot....hit it with hammer...then take it off..comes off easy that way. |
