Sorry Arnel but...Reeeeepost!

Haha! I thought the motor looked weird in it's operation, too. Even after watching the video I was curious how they could get it to run about 5 times leaner than stoichiometric.

I still think its interesting, if nothing else

JDMFantasy2k 01-09-2005 06:32 PM

they make it sound like its revolutionary when actually mitsubishi has had cars with GDI engines for years. Although i'd be surprised if we see any of these i-vtec I engines around here because of the low quality gas we have.

Although it's be sweet if they had a k20a2 that was equipped with it

dammit... where have i been?

GT40FIED 01-09-2005 06:48 PM

Out at sea, I thought. That's a good enough excuse. :D

pdiggitydogg 01-09-2005 06:56 PM

Well most of the time it is...but not in this scenario :D;)

ebpda9 01-09-2005 07:45 PM

actually motortrend on this this pasts issue. that a/f ratio is nox free. and i think the timing of the fuel injector is just a few moments before ignition. i don't think air alone will detonate even when compressed as hell. vw/audi does the same thing too with their new engines right now. they are even in production

thermal 01-09-2005 09:14 PM

it was dated 12/2/04.... My PC was broke....lol.

ebpda9 01-09-2005 09:46 PM

still not an excuse ;) j/k

MissJDM 01-09-2005 11:47 PM

Therm: at least you have an excuse. I've been here almost every day [as of before Christmas] and I still have been missing out.

Man, this forum always gets me thinking that I need to get out more
