2005 acura rsx

well since no one bothered looking for info and pics on it i thought i'd do it today.

http://www.vtec.net/news/news-item?news_item_id=260705

the type s models get a 10hp boost (not much but it is there)

i think it looks better than the older model.

pdiggitydogg 09-13-2004 03:21 PM

hmm...
heavier
10 more hp
1 more ft/lb
raised redline
itr camshafts, IM and larger tb

Why they couldnt just bring the itr over for this run is yet another "why no r?" mystery

It looks more like a civic now, since the civic doesnt look like a civic...
The jade color is nice

There are clearer pics @ http://www.kingmotorsports.com/05rsx.asp

ChrisCantSkate 09-13-2004 03:58 PM

umm.. i guess its better. im not that impressed though.

JDMFantasy2k 09-13-2004 05:24 PM

improvement, but not enough. Honda should just grow some balls and start turboing vtec engines from the factory:yes:

IALuder 09-13-2004 06:03 PM

looks good to me. it doesnt look like a civic at all. id buy one, but im poor and i gota faster car anyways.

pdiggitydogg 09-13-2004 08:11 PM

there used to be a rumor that the next generation civic si would be turbo'd as an option.
I doubt that will happen

 I thought from my own dear imagination that they'd do something cool with it as well, if not a stock turbo nor s/c, at least more hp or something..but then..the EP3 ruined my faith in civic si's future.

BTW, I think the RSX comes with stock 17s for 05.

ebpda9 09-13-2004 08:41 PM

only the type s 16x6.5 for the base

Otakuguy 09-13-2004 11:22 PM

It looks alright to me. A little more integra has been put into it (As seen in the rear tail lights) I gotta agree with PDiggz though. Why no Type R? It boggles my mind.

ebpda9 09-13-2004 11:24 PM

you can get the type r option on ebay for under $10

Otakuguy 09-14-2004 03:18 AM

haha oh yea...i guess that's one way of going about it...if you're really that shameful

pdiggitydogg 09-14-2004 10:00 AM

and theres a bunch of tools that will do it

The optional S wheels look good too (I built one)..but I think theyre too large @ 17"...

I guess I'll have to head down to Acura of Troy and drive one of these things soon.

CD5Passion 09-14-2004 10:52 AM

there's an huge improvement on the styling, it looks a lot more like an integra, I would buy it...had I money

G-M-W 09-14-2004 03:05 PM
