ok i have a question for you guys. My car makes a kinda squeek or a squealing noise under acceleration at about 25oo rpms, I thought it might be a loose belt or something but I just put a CAI on this weekend and no its much louder. I cant seem to pinpoint where its comming from but it seems to be around the intake, throttle body area. It almost sounds like something is slipping untill it gets up to speed with the motor. Any thoughts?

no not at all, I cant really describe it. Its almost sounds like a tea-pot but has more of a squeak to it. I thought it migt be the intale itself but its coming from some were around the throttle body but I cant find any leaks- and its only in lower RPMs - its really weird

sounds like a vacuum leak, are you loosing power at all?

no, no loss of power either- its just anoying as hell

does your car idle normally?

i think its the intake.... I just installed the intake and it makes a really nice sound.... the version two is actually deeper... is that what you intalled? or did you install the version one?

yeah it idles fine, runs great, just makes the noise- I got a type one intake, but it was making the same noise when the stock parts were installed

ok ive been messing with it. Took the CAI off and its still making the noise- im thinking now its got more to do with throttle position then anything? Anyone heard of something like that before?
