They are exactly the same. Can't live with em, can't live without em. You complain about how much you want one, then when you get one you complain about how much you hate em, then when you get rid of em you complain about how much you want em back. Its a viscious cycle really.

Ok here is the deal with this post. I have an Italian bike that has given me more than my fair share of problems. But its the Italian woman that is driving me FREAKIN CRAZY!!!!!!!!! Before I start this, let me clarify myself, she is a FRIEND. That said here goes.

She has been in an abusive marrige (mentally not physically) for a year and a half. She finally got the balls to leave him and long story short, all she got was her bike. The agreement is ironclad and there is no way to get any money out of the guy. She hasn't found a job since she left him and her bills are stacking up almost as tall as she is. They got seperated 2 months ago and she has negative money to pay her bills and for school and is currently living with a friend of mine until she can get on her feet. She talked to her husband today and he said he would take her back if she gives up riding, all of her friends, school, and basically becomes a Stepford wife. (if any of you saw the movie) She left in the first place because she was abesolutly miserable. She is actually considering going back to him because she is in such financial trouble. I don't have many friends. She is the best one I have and I can't loose her. How bad of a decision would it be for me to support her by myself until she can get on her feet. There is no b/f g/f buisness involved here. I love her as a sister and can not loose her. We have been through hard times together. The most important part of this is that I don't think I will be able to live with myself if I let her go back to him and don't even try to help. It is very drastic, I know. Thats just the kind of friend that I am though. Please tell me if I am stupid or retarded or just a friend.

That sounds like a question you'd have to anwser yourself, I don't think anyone can really anwser that for you. I know if anyone I cared about needed something I'd do as much as I could to help. Personally, I'd do something, wether it's lining up job interviews or searching newpaper adds togeather or direct finical support (not that I really could do a whol lot with school).

Damn. That's messed up. Is there a chance that she could go to some counciling? I know there are several organizations that she could get in contact with that more than likely could help with putting her in touch with the right people to help. I can't think of any off the top of my head right now but I really don't want you to get into financial trouble too. I'm NOT saying to NOT help her, help her in any way emotionally but not with your money, you might end up being a financial crutch. Be there for her to help her get the strength to get back up on her own two feet but she's got to want to do that for herself. I've been in a similar situation but not to the same degree. I had no one for any emotional support or even financial, except for mom and dad but I wasn't even going there. Another long story for another time. She needs your friendship now more than ever but please don't get yourself in a bind yourself either. You may have no idea the extent of her emotional/financial needs. Help her with the want ads, online searchs and whatnot but please keep in mind YOUR needs also. Don't let them get neglected. In order to help her you've got to help yourself and keep your prospective of the situation clear. Best wishes to you both.

Very wrong of you to say, but also very true.

I just hate women period. That doesn't mean that I'm gay, that just means its payback time. All the women in socal will now feel my wrath.

At first I figured I'd open this and it would just say "they're both fast but need way too much maintainance". Haha! But seriously...man, I don't think anybody else here can tell you what to do. It's all you. If it were me I'd do it in a second. I'll do anything it takes to avoid having a close female friend in an abusive relationship. But that's me. I'm sure you'll do whatever's right in your mind.

If you haven't put it together yet, this post and the FYI are about the same person.
