New Taking Back Sunday

so has anyone else picked up this new cd of theirs? been a good 2 years since their last one and even after losing their backup singer and drummer(i think) they still sound god damned amazing.

IALuder 07-31-2004 03:44 PM

sorry i never heard of them. i must not get out much anymore....:o

CD5Passion 07-31-2004 03:46 PM

well they've never been big, well among mainstream music. actually their one song was on the Spiderman 2 soundtrack "a decade under the unfluence" is the song title.
their what you may call .....emo....scremo...whatever that scene is but they are amazing nonetheless

haha I discovered them at a show a good 2 and ahalf years ago, they came to a small local venue, it was Rufio, Taking Back Sunday, and Brand New. Back when NO ONE knew them, everyone was like "who the hell is brand new" "Oh I've heard them before they are pretty good"....man I miss those days

wheresmylicense 08-01-2004 02:47 AM

the new cd is pretty good... i still prefer brand new, though... :-)

mylittlecivic 08-02-2004 01:21 AM

yeah back two years ago it wasnt so bad, but now everything is so played out. Anyway listened to the cd today it was alright but i still like the first one better & their old back up singer. 'your own disaster' is my favourite song by them

CD5Passion 08-02-2004 01:43 AM

oh defiantly Your Own Disaster is really one of those songs that I fell in love with the moment I heard it and it is still the anthem of my life;(

But anna wouldn't you agree that even with the two members bailing, they did an incredible job at retaining that sound that was TBS. of course it's just not as good as the original. but I think that could hold true to any band out there

mylittlecivic 08-03-2004 06:03 PM

yeah they do good, I just havent been listening to the style for a while now
