Coil, cap, rotor, wires...difference?
 
would getting MSD or something o the sort for all these parts make quite a difference on my stock engine? The mechanic at work who has an older Vega drag race car said it would make quite a difference. he told me his dad put it on his truck and NOW it can actually lay rubber, it never used to be able to...HMMMM

No.. a little better gas mileage or something yes.. but you will not notice any difference at all.
