There's a system out there that lets you play with when vtec inguages, this might be more effective. I think the downside is honda does a pretty good job with theres and alot of time on the dyno is spent getting you a little bit more power.

I think you could send your ECU into Jet to have it reprogrammed

its not worth it till you got serious mods. just get a Vtec controller from APexi.

even the vafc isnt worth it unless you have some mods and want to get it dyno'd

a vtec controller wont actualy give you power per se just change where it come on. You could probably contact Hondata and have them flash your ecu but those are like 800 bucks almost not worth it for like 30 hp and a higher redline

the vafc controller from apexi can modify a bunch of things like the af ratio, the vtec enaggement and some scaling of the map sensor, but in all it's worthless without some real mods

The man speaks the truth. You can make some extra power with a VAFC by modifying the Air-Fuel Ratios and vtec engagement. Ver. 2 also has a knock-sensor on it which helps if you ever plan on turbo'ing or advancing the timing. VAFC's go for about $350-$400 new or $250 used.

But you'd be fine to do the whole I/H/E thing first and reset your ECU. OBD-II Honda computers learn really quick and resetting can actually give you a few extra ponies.
