Question : Handbrake boot

Does anybody know how to remove the handbrake boot off a 94 accord WITHOUT cutting it off? i got half (the part where its hooked up, but the other half is a b*** to take off!! is there like a thing you have to release first or should it just slide off?

cut it off. A new one is only $17 from Honda if you want to go back
