B20 Turbo...
I've been asking around and i've given up on adding vtec to my B20 engine... so im going turbo... just a simple question... ppl have been saying that i can run trubo with the stock internals on the b20... if i just run some where under 10psi... is this true and also does any one know the pressure ratio for the b20 is it 9:1???
|
10 will be be safe man. I dont care what people say, but these B20's will handle great boost. Start off at 7 psi. Slowly work your way up. Get a decent management. None of that FMU crap.....
|
b20's are an underrated block. go for it.
a b20 built with like a GSR or Type R head would be killer... |
do i have to resleve the block? my friend wants to know what the compresion ratio is... 9:1 or 10:1
|
b20 compression is NOT 10:1
prolly the 9:1... not sure though but it aint 10 |
|
If you have the money, sleeve it. It will be safer that way. B20 cylinder walls are thin...
|
b20b is 8:8:1
b20z is 9:6:1 Like I said before, the walls on b20s die around/above 6psi so you will HAVE to resleeve. The rest of the internals will be fine up to 12psi daily driven |
^^^^ what they said
