GM synchromesh
 

in my newer tranny there was a grind in 3rd with 18$ a quart swepco tranny fluid. switched over to the synchromesh and NO MORE GRIND! infact i can chirp 3rd now.

oh and this stuff stinks, almost made me sick to my stomach after a little while.

How bad was the grind?? was it just noticable, or was it a HARSH grind?

it was pretty noticable, not REAL bad, but bad enough that i couldnt shift even somewhat hard into 3rd.

I will try this syncromesh friction modified , . . . .

Ive been wanting to try it also...I have a slight grind in my 3rd gear synchro as well.

everyone who has driven a honda hard for a while has bad 3rd gear synchros. The third gear ones just seem to be the weakest for some reason. My 3rd gear ones were trashed too in my D16Z hatch b4 I sold it.

oddly enough my old tranny only had a slight grind into 2nd, and that tranny had 110,000miles.

Hmm.... I seem to have a slight grind going into 2nd... is this good in any Honda tranny?

I just dropped $350 on parts and will spend another few hundred on paint....I cant even afford oil now

awesome shit. Stef told me about it. I still havent changed mine but I told a friend to do his. His tranny use to grind on 2nd and third. He took his car to track and not grind on any gear! Puking awesome product.....

dodge has the same stuff....i just dont have their part #

No neon tranny fluid for me!





We will see if this stuff helps me - my grind occurs from 2nd to 3rd when in vtec (anythink 6k or more) . . . . .
