definately not the right one, as we found out. Need to find the brake booster like the other forum said.

I'm pretty sure Here is where the Blow off valve should go!
|
i'm with derek on this one. it should go on the piping between the intercooler (if you have one, or the turbo) and the trottle body) usually like halfway between them.
|
um, you guys don't understand my question...i wasn't talkin' about where the BOV is to be welded on, but where the VACCUUM LINE is to be tapped from....

Use the Vacuum line for the Fuel Pressure regulator Any vacuum source will do. You just need to use one of the vacuum connection from the TypeS, not both. you can even use the vacuum source for your cruise control. You can tap all 3 units in that one hose that goes to your FPR: 1) BOV 2) boost gauge 3) EBC Look closely how mine is hooked up: As you can see, use the top vacuum connection of the typeS BOV. If you follow the vacuum source, it T's off with the FPR vacuum tubing.... |

Sorry I thought you ment wth the BOV...considering the question...wow....anyw.a.....y... |
well under boost, don't you have to modufy the vacuum lines ? i mean the brake booster works on vacuum, the egr valve uses vacum, the fpr uses vacum, and you have positive pressure on the intake part of the engine ? yeah i gouess i need to get that book i asked about
|
^any of those will work. Any vacuum source from the intake manifold will suffice. Just be careful on what you choose because some vacuum sources have a check valve like the cruise control and brake booster. Position the "T" before the check valve.....
Stef, you do not have to modify any vacuum lines brotha... even under boost. Some people run the "missing link check valve" in between the MAP sensor and the TB to avoid CEL under boost. This is with an FMU. Newer Stand Alone and piggy back dont use missing links anymore since MAP signal is detrimental to ECU fuel calculation..... |
