should i???

should i sell my 03 civic si.. and buy my friends 93 nissan 300zx N/A... he's got a body kit, 17'' wheels, CAI, lowered, Dual racing exhaust, custom interior, custom stereo setup, molded body kit.. it's really a sweet ride..

i dont know what to do.. here's a pic of it..

this:

or keep this:

ya know usually I dont like kits....but that 300 is so damn sexy!

I dont know...choice is up to you. Id sell the si rims for sure though...dont like em. The ep si parts are really going to start coming out this yr...turbos, the jrsc, more parts from mugen and spoon, etc.
I dont think Id be trading a new car for one thats over 10yrs old though

GT40FIED 01-28-2004 05:15 PM

^^Agreed. Ever though it's N/A, it's still a sweet looking ZX. Besides, you have to pay out the ass for a turbo'ed one. I give it my official

pbateson 01-28-2004 05:31 PM

Don't sell! Keep SI! Cuz 03 is still brand-new.

I think 93 nissan 300zx have a lot of miles than '03 SI. SI have lower miles than 300zx. Lower miles is better without any problem.

Keep the SI

ChrisCantSkate 01-28-2004 06:10 PM

as much as i like nissans, and z32's inparticular, its never gonna feel like "your" car. its gonna be your friends you bought. its not fast(relative to its competition) and what can you really do to it besides TT part swaps(brakes motor suspension etc). if you want a badass Z, get a mid 90's twin turbo, or if your set on it, but it with the intentions of swapping the motor asap. my 2 cents

oh you said molded body kit.... i dunno if the pic is old or not, but thats not modled in

MAXed Out 01-28-2004 08:08 PM

Iwould say yes go for it but it's ur call. No offense the 300zx looks better then the SI but still something ur friend did not u.

thermal 01-28-2004 09:11 PM

no doubt. That 300ZX is nice.....

blind34_1 01-28-2004 10:15 PM

yeah, but you didnt do the work to it. The Z is an awesome car, but you'd never be able to call it your own. Keep the Si, and wait for the performance parts to become available. Or get ahead of the game and make your own.

sohc_vtec 2NR 01-28-2004 10:20 PM

wow! that Z is sexy as hell.... but why "downgrade" you got a new car that has a hell of alot more life left in it, and all the good stuff are just about comin' out for the EP... you have seen the light now go... lol

mylittlecivic 01-29-2004 01:29 AM

looks nice but if you do it make sure you really want it and your comfortable with it. just think whats more practical

Adubb 01-29-2004 10:47 AM

thanks everyone for replying... i'm still not sure what to do! GRRRRRR!!! I mean.. i want that Z so bad i can taste it! .. well umm. not really.. but ya get the point.. but seriously.. if yall had heard that Z start up and rev.. OMG! I nut just thinkin about it! and w/ it being Ttops.. ahh man! It's hard to pass this up! I just dont know what to do..
on one hand i have a BRAND new car.. but w/ a 315/month payment.. and then on the other hand i have a MADDDDD sexy Z for prob around 200/ month.. so i think i'm gonna get the Z....

but now all i have to do is sell the SI.. any takers?????;)

CD5Passion 01-29-2004 01:31 PM

still think keep the SI...that z is sexy as hell and all but if it were me I would a hell of a lot for pride in something I paid for not my friend as far as the parts go, I look at cars as a form of art, maybe I'm just weird. I would say keep the SI and make it faster and nicer to your tastes:yes:

Its not exactly a cheep car to fix either (the Z).

Keep the SI, there is no reason to buy a watered down version of a legendary supercar.

GT40FIED 01-29-2004 07:17 PM

I still say the ZX. yeah, the Si is new but it kinda looks like a Focus to me. I've just never liked smaller hatchbacks to begin with...and damnit that ZX looks nice. True, you won't be the one who put in the wrench time, but you can always improve on it.
