So who here was diagnosed with ADD?
 

I remember that was the big thing when I was about 14 or 15...everyone got diagnosed with ADD. I saw a psychiatrist and he asked me one question..."If you were taking a test in a silent room and someone behind you dropped a pencil would you turn around and look?". I said yes so therefore I had ADD. I got Ritalin and that shit was like speed (without the addiction part). Accurate diagnosis, huh? So let's hear it...who was diagnosed (correctly or incorrectly) with ADD or ADHD?

At this point I think ADD should stand for "Another Dumb Doctor"

there testing me for that right now. they duno if i do or not so i guess ill have to see

who cares if you have ADD. I Think its a bunch of bullshit to make kids with any energy at all seem wierd and pump drugs down them.

I dont have add, sometimes i wonder but I got lots of friends who have it lol. this reminds me, does anyone know who ten foot pole is? they have the greatest song about add.

I don't think i have that crap but i'm hyper anytime and there isn't a day when i don't rip on some one. :yes:

I have a slight case of it...they gave me medicine for it but all it did was make my armpits sweat...so i stopped using it...lol

The problem is that the diagnosis is so subjective. It varies from doctor to doctor. I can honestly say I don't have ADD...I've got generalized anxiety which is what makes me a little spacey, twitchy, and out of it sometimes. But for years I was told I DID have it because some dipshit doctor told me I did.

I dont go to docters unless I absolutely have to. They are a PITA more then anything.:rolleyes:

My sister had ADHD as a kid and was on meds for years. i can still remember the first day that she had to take the Ritalin (?) pill. God...that was the worst day ever. Mom in the kitchen tryin to shove a pill down a 6 year olds throat.....after that my sis would just take the damn thing.

I've been hearing a lot about adult ADD now. I think I heard something like 5 (or it might have been 20...I can't remember which) percent of adults have ADD. And most of them are women. There was an article about it in one of the Cosmopolitians this year. Interesting article....and according to the warning signs list, I have it. I do have a major problem paying attention to certain things....and I always feel like a jackass asking people to repeat what they said because I was thinking about something else.

have any of you seen or heard that comercial... with the woman and its like somebody is changing the radio station all the time... thats how i feel alllll the time.. and this gay crap thay put me on sucks... now all i get is FM channels...:no:

I don't have ADD. But I do suffer from SELECTIVE HEARING! ;)
