injectors
any body know what size the injectors are in a ZC engine. I think they the same a civic but I want to know the rate in cc.
Also what are the cc in other HONDA. Am machining a fuel rail at work (cause i dont want to buy something that easy to make ) and then i started thiking why not put bigget injector. I was talking to another guy at work and he said that he had some injector from a 2L saab turbo. they use the same style of plug as HONDA but the actual body size is a lil bigger but they are defenetly flow more fuel then my stock injector so they are going to be my first test. the only thing that i dont know yet is if the saab uses a injector resistor like HONDA . thats why I want to try from another HONDA cause am thinking that they all use the same resistance. am also going to make an intake manifold. I have look at one and it dont look that hard to make( if you have the right tool and i do at work, I got all different types of alum and stainless steel. so why buy when I can make it at work for cheap). |
the stock fuel rail is good for like +400hp worth of fuel, so i wouldnt waste time making one.

the ONLY honda that comes with larger than 270 (maybe it's 230 or 220) cc injectors is the h22 with vtec and the NSX... they're 310 (or if the norms are 220-230 then the biggers are 270)...
Can't remember but basically NO honda injector is going to flow enough fuel for a big turbo or nitrous set up... The most common thing used are DSM 440cc injectors... If you're engine already has the resistor pack for the injectors (pre 93 I think) then you don't even need to mod anything... But if they are for a newer one you need to either solder resistors inline or buy a resistor pack from an older honda... Either way it would NOT be a good idea to upgrad to that size without some sort of forced induction... Even the larger honda injectors would be pointless without some serious NA work. |
what about making the fuel rail? would i get any gains from it. I think its aem that makes an aftermarket one. they clain that you get better performance. is that true?

fuel rails have no gian period. if you want aftermarket to say you have aftermarket go ahead waste some money. but im with azcivic not worth it. why upgrade,if the stock ones are good up to 400-450?
