Photoshop: How to add a signature to your pics?

I've taken a bunch of digital pictures over the last year. I was wondering what a good method of making a transparent picture of my signature (I have a scanner) is?

I can then just slap it on any image that I want. I've searched the net but for some reason can't find any good info on this. Maybe its just too easy :D

i dont know if this is the real way... but you can always set it as a layer, put your sig where you want it then just adjust its transparency. thats how i put images over other ones when i need to do somethin glike that

Ah, yeah I'm sure that would work just fine. I was hoping to be able to just impose a white signature on top of pics, and that should work.

I would sign with a big pen so the scanned image is huge, then make it smaller from there.

Use plain white paper and use something simple like a black pen.

Edit the image after you've scanned it and delete all the white. Whether you want to use anti-aliasing is up to you when you do it, probably not a bad idea.

You may want to make sure all the black is truly black, but it doesn't really matter. It can just make color replacing easier later on.

Save it.

Then just open it up and copy it to a new layer on the picture you want to put it on. Be sure to scale it appropriately. :) You can easily adjust the color of it, add effects such as embossing or a pillow effect, or whatever you want once it's on the new picture.

Thanks spoogenet...

I think I get the gist of it now. I'll for sure make the colors true, etc.

Easiest way is sign the scanner inside with a ink pen and then scan it. I know it's a little riced up but it works. Or u can have it done on a piece of paper and just have copied and pasted on a tranparent layer. ANd btw i was kidding about the signing the glass on the scanner.

or get like a tablet and sign every pic individually ;)
