Does Turbo quiet exhaust?
 

I heard that turbod motors are quieter then NA motors,which makes sense since its pushing more air through the exaust faster, but I was wandering if anyone noticed a difference in sound when they installed their Turbo, if so was it much? My exhaust is crazy loud but I dont want to shell out the money for another exhaust, cause thats the money for my Turbo.

i cant notice a difference. but i must say i can hear the turbo spooling over the exhaust so maybe there is a difference?? Im not sure, someone needs to do a before and after dB test on their exhaust to find out for sure... =)

yes it does. the turbine absorbs the noise and turbulence coming from the exhaust port of the engine, therefore lowering the level of noise......i noticed a difference on mine.....ofcourse i can not speak for everybody about this. a good combination of exhaust system (i.e. size and design) will ultimately be the factor.
