dsm injector/vafc tuning
i just installed dsm 450cc injectors on my ls/vtec.. i have a skunk2 ecu, skunk2 intake manifold. thats pretty much all the bolt ons i have.. my car idles like a big block with cams.. no matter what rpm i have the motor at, it does not have hardly any power...i know im running very rich and i need a vafc to control the air fuel.. but i have no idea how to tune my vafc.. if anyone has tuned theres after doing an install like this or just knows how to tune one, i would appreciate the help.. any comments or advice would be greatly appreciated.. thanx

do you have an egt/a-f gauge to tell youre runnings?
Youre not gonna do too well of a job just guessing what the a/f ratio is if ya dont |
yeah i have an air/fuel gauge.. it runs rich.. but it always has ever since i have put the skunk2 ecu in.. the skunk 2 ecu delivers more fuel (especially when vtec engages). so it has always ran a little rich..

ok...well if you have another ecu, just run that until you get it tuned (i know this is really simple stuff...but its the best I can tell ya w/o a afc of my own.).
your posts confusing...do you already have the afc? or are you planning on getting one? |
If you're already running rich then why would you get bigger injectors???
The whole point of upgrading injectors is because the stock one's can't deliver a stoich mix much less a rich one... I'd recomend taking out those injectors. if you're not turboed then there is NO need for 440's in a ls/vtec... |
i already have the vafc..its already hooked up and tuned.im leaving the injectors on there because its getting turbo'd soon and i will need those.. my ecu only made it run rich during full throttle.. but now i got it tuned and it runs fine.. thanks for the help
