99 Civic EX vs 99 Eclipse RS
 

My friends and I went out to our lil spot and I raced my friend's eclipse, cuz he always asked me to so I finally said yes.

CAR STATS:

99 Civic EX-127 HP ++
AEM Intake
Greddy EVO
...same as always..

99 Eclipse RS-140 HP
..uh..stock


1ST RUN
'87 Integra flagged us and off I go with the holeshot...pulled on him pretty quick in first gear and in second gear I chirp the tires and gain some more...and by the time it was over I was ahead by 2-3 cars...:yes:

2ND RUN
My other buddy with the Altima on the other side "flagged" us by flashin' his high beams 3 times... This time the eclipse got the holeshot considerin' that my car bogged and by the time I was goin he was at least a car length ahead of me....2nd gear..tire squeal and gained on him, 3rd i proceeded to pass him up...4th gear I was ahead of him by like half a car... I still managed to catch up to him and win...which was cool ;)

After I raced him...he raced my buddy's altima and then we left....on the way home the altima dood decided to speed on the way home and ended up gettin' a ticket...such irony.. :no: he was clocked at 64 in a 45.....then we got to my house and ate some taquitos :D

Was the eclipse an auto or manual? There is a guy around here with a 95 eclips rs auto with CAI and Exhaust that tries to race and it is the slowest piece of crap ever. Dude got beat by a girl in a stock 2003 sunfire by several cars it was embarassing. Eclipse Rs's are slow but I guess it was a good kill because civics are slow too:confused:

that explains everything and depends on what kind of eclipe it was and how beat up.

The 4cyl manual or auto are slo. Try a v-6;)

What about V8 on auto?

There is no eclipse V-8 only a 3.0 V-6.

my car vs any V6 is not a race...its murder..:o

v-6.. please some retard tried to race me in my talon in a v-6 eclipse.. it was more like a slaughter...then he actually asked me if i was stock.. i told him.. no i wasn't then he goes.."thats why i couldn't beat you".. i told him even if i was i'd still wax you.. he didn't even know i was boosted.. poor guy.. had no clue.:confused:

A stock V-6 will run 14.8- 15.2. Thats abot the same time as a stock tsi. :confused:

if i ran against a v6 it would be murder for my 16.2-16.5

The V6's are pretty quick stock. Doesn't take much to make them run fast either...

well maybe im running into some non driving v6 owners... i even took out a few in my teg ... and its not even that fast... guess they just couldn't drive.

Yeah they prob couldnt drive. Or if it was a auto they run high 15's
