making a 1998 v6 jeep less slow
My GF has a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4wd v6 (moutful isn't it?) It has 30k miles on it. It is awfully slow, and after riding in my car for quite some time, she wants to do something to make it less slow. She is looking to spend around $600. Any ideas? Know anywhere I can look? Thanks.

i know its a lil off topic.. but is this a new gf playa???
|
heh no, its the same one... we've adopted the still going out yet don't care if the other one goes out with someone else policy... that way we can be together when we are... well, together, but have fun seperately... I'm working on the new GF tho, all these frat parties are helping:yes:

heheh and pimpin that car doesnt hirt......
|
isn't that a straight 6?
Oh and do what you would to any other car... get an intake exhaust and chip (if they make one and especially if it's an auto)... Oh and lighter wheels with better street tires... and change out all the fluids for synthetics... ESPECIALLY the rear/front ends... I'd check into some sort of shift kit for it... chrysler tranny's eat dirt... they might make a shift kit that'd make it respond a LOT better... |

what a waste of time... pick one and stay with one... |
6cyl Jeeps had a 4.0L straight six in 1998. As far as I know only the Liberty has a V6. Check out the grand cherokee forum at jeepsunlimited.com for info. There are several people there with V8 ZJs (grand cherokees) in the 10-12 second range.
