Might want to take a break...or rethink it completely...

These people are seriously cracking down on this subject. 3 people in my LOCAL area have already been busted for it.

Did you know that it is a FEDERAL OFFENSE?! Thats no fine, thats no white-collar prison...its a federal high security prison, with guys that tried to kill govt officials and who tried to knockover fort knox.

So...if you do it, seriously think about a break for a while...lay low until this blows over...might be a long time (god i hope not...i might have to buy cd's)

I just started doing this Kazaa shiet last week. I was really amazed about how easy it is to find the music that I like and DL it........ now they are starting to crack down on this;(

sad but true...i never thought it would really get to this...people actually getting arrested by fbi...crazy

In lieu of stopping completely, what I've been doing as a precaution is to simply keep the files in my shared folder to a minimum. If you use Kazaa, all the files you share go into a folder. I just take most of them and move them to other folders. Since the laws target people who are sharing large volumes of files, this should protect you for a while.

But as a matter of opinion, this whole thing is ridiculous. Hopefully it does blow over soon.

what about porn?...can i get arrested for dling that?...

well originally it was focused on those who shared the files...now its sharing OR/AND downloading...either one can get you busted.
