wow.. those are pretty big numbers!
That sounds like a really nice rig. What kind of speakers are you running with that card?
creative 4.1, nothing fancy they are my old speakers. when i bought the new comp i just got crappy speakers to lower the cost.
sounds good to me.
damn your comp is almost twice as fast as mine, i'm running a 1.6
i've come up in the world from a 800mhz celeron! it blew!!!
Congrats... You a big gamer, visuals, or just like a big machine? ;)
3 GHz processor and only 512 Mb or RAM? Why not boost it to 1 Gig of RAM? Couldn't have added that much to the cost.
yeah, the RAM is definately the weak point in that system, but hey, when you got 512mb and it is your weak point, you know you got a serious machine... gratz on the purchase:yes:
yeah i'm big into games CS especially. i know only 512 is kinda shitty but hey i can always go buy another stick!
it works great though, so i'm not complaining! |
nice system

Thats a hell of a machine for CS! ;) Gearing up for HL2? |
512 is not bad. i run it every day :)
i'm actually getting 2x256 for my new mobo i'm running now with my single 512 stick. i'll be running 512 until DDRII comes out in early 2004. its just not worth it to waste 250 dollars on a good set of 512mb sticks. i did have 1gb (2x512mb) when i had my xp2100+ system and it was nice but the rig turned out to not have a home here so it sent it on it's way. 512 is enough for a serious gamer. if you play battlefield 1942 you definately need 1gb if you have the cash. i play it alot and its fine on my 512 but i could definately see the benefit of 1gb on my rig if playing that. |
OMG. so much critasism to made, grrr.....
