Cold air intake
 
I just installed an intake and i was told i need to reset the ECU after wards. True or not?

depends on the car... it should notice it's there eventually...

it's probobly not a bad idea to do though...

You can reset it if you want, or you can wait until the ECU learns the new curve.

does unhooking the battery do anything? i was just wondering 'cause people told me to do that after i put my intake in... i have no idea if it actually did anything... (seeing as how we forgot to plug the map sensor thing-a-ma-bob back in, and didn't notice it until a few days later... :dunce: )

Removing the negative batt cable for a few minutes will reset the ECU.

1) Warm up car
2) Turn all accessories off
3) Shut off car
4) Pull batt cable
5) Reconnet cable
6) Start car w/o hitting the gas or anything
7) Let it idle for a little bit
8) Go driving ;)

That's how I heard to do it, but all the little details might not matter that much.
