starter or ignition?
 

When i turn the key nothing happens except all the instument cluster lights and the radio turn on. No click,click, click like the sound of a dead battery. After a few tries the car fires up like normal or sometimes if i hold the key for a second it turns over. From what I have gathered from other posts, is that it is the starter b/c there is no clicking sound. What do you all think?:confused:

my brother had the same problem with his integra. i got his starter out and dissasembled it, then cleaned up theinside a bit and put it back toghether and into the car. no problems since

I had the same problem with my starter. The contacts were bad, but those got replaced and everything's good now.

What part are the contacts?

contact post, terminal or anything that resembles that.
